Thursday, May 27 - 8:00 p.m. - Maria Rose and Danny Elswick are respected entertainers and were chosen from groups nationwide to travel for the USO, taking a 'touch of home' by performing for our Armed Forces on 11 different overseas tours. They are shown frequently as featured performers on the nationally-broadcast "Midwest Country" TV Show on the RFD-TV network.

Maria Rose has appeared on numerous national television and radio shows, hosted her own television show, and is known for her outgoing personality and stage presence. She scored high on country music charts with "Can We Still Be Friends", and touched the hearts of thousands of Special Olympics athletes at events around the world by performing a song she wrote for them, "You Are the Flame".  Maria is a recipient of the prestigious Presidential "Point of Light" Award. She is a former "Miss Baseball" for the Baltimore Orioles, and represented them at local and national events.

Danny Elswick is an experienced lead guitarist, a recording engineer, and the full instrumentation behind this duo's full musical sound, as well as all their recorded CD projects. Danny excels at singing, and at playing a number of musical instruments including the lead guitar, steel guitar, banjo, mandolin.

The Frustrated Maestros Great Lakes chapter of F.M.C.A. is a fun-loving, energetic group of volunteers whose main interest is playing and singing music. Each year, the group's concerts are part of the G.L.A.S.S. daytime and evening entertainment.  We are located on the "midway" in Building #35 across from the  KFC Gazebo, and in the Grandstand on Friday night.  Besides the main band and choral group, there are many specialized groups performing for your pleasure; the Bluegrass Group, the March and Swing Group, a Jazz Combo, and various vocal ensembles, as well as talented vocal and instrumental soloists and specialty or comedy acts.  Chapter members include professional musicians, music educators, and others who just love music and have "dusted off" their high school instruments or their singing voices to perform with the group.

Friday, May 28 - 7:00 p.m. - The Frustrated Maestros will be performing a half-hour concert and Salute to the Veterans in the Grandstand (Building 24).  There will be daily concerts Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Building #35.

Friday, May 28 - 7:30 p.m. - The John Bressler Show  - John Bressler has a great passion to entertain.  He’s performed on television’s MTV, VH-1,  the Grand Ole Opry and all over North America.  Famous for his unique presentation including a rotating “Phantom Grand Piano”, this singer/songwriter/comedian/musician has nine critically acclaimed albums to his credit.  He has shared stages with Willy Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Alan Jackson, Ray Charles, Alabama, Leann Rimes, Gloria Estefan, and many others.  This multi-talented piano player and keyboardist known for his exuberant stage presence has been compared to Liberace,  Victor Borge, Yanni, Elton John, and Billy Joel.  With a soulfully raspy vocal style much like Rod Stewart or Louis Armstrong, spontaneous wry observations and insights, and a show featuring the sublime as often as the ridiculous,  The John Bressler Show is celebrating over a quarter century of making people extremely happy.  It’s a must-see show that’s totally unique, and that audiences from around the world truly love.

Saturday Evening, May 29 - 7:30 p.m. - The General Assembly was formed in the fall of 1971 by a group of musicians from the Ludington, Michigan area. The players enjoyed the sounds of the big bands and wanted to regularly play the music long associated with such names as Basie, Kenton, Herman, Miller, the Dorseys, and others. Since that time the band has performed throughout Michigan, from the Detroit area to Traverse City, while receiving requests for appearances from as far away as San Francisco. Audiences have responded with "The best in the Midwest," "Great performance," "We should have had a dance floor," and "Our audience insists you come back next year."  G.L.A.S.S. will have a dance floor this year.  While many groups advertise the "big band sound," The General Assembly is not just a combo playing old songs. It is a full 17 piece orchestra with female vocalist performing the best of the old and new in music for dancing and listening.

Sunday Morning, May 30 - 9:30 a.m. - Terri McFarland is a Christian recording artist, inspirational speaker and former collegiate athlete & coach. Her passion to share the love of Jesus has taken her around the world providing chapel services for Olympic and professional athletes & coaches through a unique and powerful ministry.

As a sought after conference speaker, Terri’s gift of song and her passionate style of communication connects with a variety of audiences.  By openly revealing her own spiritual journey the Holy Spirit is touching hearts and changing lives.

Terri desires her life and music to clearly reflect the work of the Holy Spirit in such a way that will draw others into a more personal relationship with Jesus Christ; the only One who can change us from the inside out.

Joining Terri is world class pianist, and vocal accompanist, Ken Wadley.  Hailing from Arkansas, Ken has a reputation as one of the most gifted keyboard players in the Midwest.   His work can be heard on more than 50 albums.  Ken’s latest solo piano CD entitled Testimony, is a fresh interpretation of many great songs of faith.

Sunday Evening, May 30 - 7:30 p.m. - The Carl Acuff Jr. Show - Whether you’re looking for a show with a wide variety of musical styles or a Classic Rock N Roll show, This group is the act for you! They have traveled over 1.6 million miles in 46 states since 1992 and entertained thousands of fans.

As for his relation to the legendary Roy Acuff of the Grand Ole Opry you ask him when he comes to the G.L.A.S.S. Rally.

Most of all the Carl Acuff Jr. show is a night of fun for the whole family. You can bring grandma & grandpa, the kids, mom & dad and the camera and not be afraid of seeing something that will offend any of them.
